Peaceful/ Respectful Parenting + Mom with Needs Met and Cup Filled Up = Thriving Children

(And no, I'm not talking about filled with coffee or wine!)

Moms, here's the deal:

You are doing A-M-A-Z-I-N-G work learning to be a gentle/respectful/ attuned parent -especially when so many of you never grew up with anything close to that.

It's hard and incredible work you are doing. You are shifting generations right now.

But I also know that so many of you beat yourselves up for missing the mark because you find that can't always respond to your children in the loving, respectful, gentle way you desire.

We've set a high bar for ourselves in parenting. And that's good! It means we CARE deeply about our children and our world.

But here's where I see things crumble a bit in our big plan to raise resilient, thoughtful, kind well-loved kids.

We, as moms, forget about ourselves.

That's part of the deal right? When you become a mom and want to give your kids the very best, you are supposed to lay down every part of yourself so your kids can thrive right?

WRONG.

The REAL TRUTH is this:

Your needs MATTER.
Your struggles and pain MATTERS.
Your wants and wishes MATTER.

YOU MATTER.

I know you think burning the midnight oil, taking care of everyone else's needs first while pushing off your own needs is the noblest, most honorable thing you can do for your family, but it is not.

I know you think ignoring your hurt feelings, your sensitivities (you know, that sensitivity to noise and excessive touch) and your deep wounds from your childhood will make everyone's life easier, but it doesn't.

I know you think it's not worth making space for that thing you love to do (You know, that thing that lights you up and brings you joy and energy). You think it's more important to only focus on what your kids love to do, but it's not.

You need to have your needs met.

You need to have your wounds honored.

You need space for YOU.

But many of us did not learn how to advocate for our needs growing up, let alone even know what they are.

Many of us feel bad for all the crazy feelings we have instead of understanding the messages our feelings are sending us.

Many of us feel SO guilty for taking time for ourselves and doing the things we love.

And THIS is why we need to learn (perhaps for the first time) how to turn toward ourselves, learn how gently tend to our needs and pains and learn how to create space for ourselves to thrive, even with minimal time.

And guess what? When you do this, becoming that peaceful/ conscious/ intuitive/ gentle/ respectful ...parent you so long to be becomes 10X easier.

Tending to yourself is directly related to your ability to parent well and to the well-being of your kids. Just think about it ...

The more in tune you are with your emotions and provide yourself with compassion and empathy the more you will be able to tune in to their emotions and have the compassion and empathy they need when they are struggling.

The more you are able calm and regulate yourself in the moment when you feel all the feels, the faster your kids will learn these skills as they mature.

The more your kids see you, being YOU  the more they will believe it's okay for them to be who they were created to be.

And the list goes on!

What Others Have to Say:

“Ali is fantastic. I had breakthroughs with her that I haven’t had in YEARS of therapy. The impact on me and my family has been profound. My kids are more relaxed. My husband says I’m acting like myself again. And I feel a sense of peace I haven’t since my mid-20s. If you’re a Mom of young children and you’re dealing with emotional outbursts and feelings of inadequacy, shame, and guilt- you NEED Ali. Don’t walk- run towards her. I can’t put into words the change I’ve experienced in the last 3 weeks- but it’s absolutely for the better.”

Allana R.

“Ali has been so wonderful at educating me gracefully and gently on ways to love myself and my child well. She is constantly pushing herself to grow and continue learning more to help herself, her family and others around her grow into the best versions of themselves and who we were all created to be. She seems to do this so effortlessly and filled with such compassion and empathy! Her insight, knowledge, and wisdom is priceless.”

Mom of 1 + Fitness Coach

Megan S.

“I was facing, what I thought were, insurmountable challenges with our 13-year-old son. We were constantly getting into the same old arguments and I would often end up very angry. However, Ali’s coaching and guidance helped me find the root of the issues, let go of control, and she empowered me with tools and strategies to deal with the challenges with my son. I’m so relieved that there is hope for us to rebuild our relationship as well as improve my personal life and my relationship with my partner. I’m so thankful! I highly recommend it!”

Hi! I'm so happy you're here! I'm Ali Parnell

Founder + Coach

I'm a coach and advocate for mothers - in the thick of motherhood - who are dedicated to being compassionate, respectful, and attuned parents for their children (regardless of their upbringing). I teach you how to reshape your relationship with your emotions and yourself as well as how to recognize and kindly advocate for your needs, which leads to a happier and more balanced family (as well as a much smoother experience in parenting without control). I am NOT a therapist or trained expert in the field (though maybe someday I will be). But I am a mom who has done A LOT of her own work to heal from years of childhood trauma, anxiety and chronic stress and I daily work to restore wholeness to my family. In addition to my real life experience of healing and working weekly with my trauma-informed therapist I also have undergraduate work in psychology, I have read dozens upon dozens of psychology and parenting books and have the following trainings under my belt: Bringing Baby Home (by Gottman), 7 Principles for Making Marriage Work (Gottman), Gottman Couples Clinical Training (L1), NICAMB's Client's Who Feel Stuck. I am passionate about mental and emotional wellness, raising healthy and empowered children and seeing families (including mine!) transformed. I am married to my creative and compassionate husband, who has also committed to this healing journey along with me. And I'm a mom to two AMAZING young boys. I believe you can have a peaceful, connected and amazing family, even if you didn't grow up with that. It simply starts with saying yes to YOU.

FAQ

  • Is this membership a good substitute for individual therapy?

In short, no. This is not a substitute for individual therapy from a qualified professional. This program will teach you some amazing concepts, frameworks and practices that are regularly used in the holistic therapy world, however, this cannot replace the impact of a 1:1 relationship with a therapist. You will find wonderful tools and great support in this learning community, but If you are struggling with severe mental and emotional symptoms that lead you to not be able to normally function in day to day life, I highly recommend finding a quality therapist in your area to work with either in addition to or in place of this program.

  • Are there refunds?

All sales are final, so please be sure that you are able to commit both financially and time-wise before purchasing.

  • Will this program truly help me?

Healing is a journey, not destination. This program will be one of many opportunities along your path to further grow and heal. So do we believe in our program and it's ability to help women - YES! YES! YES! But is it the ONLY way to grow in these areas? No. Ultimately the healing is in your hands - to make that choice and take the steps to be a part of things that help you grow. We hope you will join us here in the Healing Mother's Collective, but if it doesn't feel like a good fit right now, we hope you find the help you are looking for.

  • I can't join now, will you run future programs?

YES! Please join our wait list if you cannot join this round. We would LOVE to have you participate in a future round. But please note that the price for future rounds will likely increase.
